In the framework of the activities of Egyptians Without Borders that are
interested in consolidating the values
of belonging, creativity, and youth development to build a generation of
citizens aware of their creative role in community development through
partnership with all society sectors and institutions, Egyptians Without Borders
with Schutz American school in Alexandria concluded the program “Egyptian
Citizen” activities on 8th and 9th of May 2015. The
program included 50 students from Schutz American school and 50 students from “Egyptian
Citizen” unit in Egyptians Without borders. The program aims to integrate
and consolidate the values of citizenship, belonging, and social responsibilty
among students in different educational levels.
This programs is launched by the foundation in 2008 and every year it
adopts one of the values and principles of citizenship by applying the
activities and events throughout the year with the participation of students
representatives from all society sectors (youth centers- cultural centers-
student unions- schools-NGOs)
The launching of the activities of “Egyptian Citizen” in 2015
came in conjunction with the international day of citizenship. The program
included many educational activities and entertainment throughout the two days
since students exchanged experience, culture and community service as parts of
active citizenship through graffiti paintings that represent the students’
suggestions for developing education and solving its problems in cooperation
with students of the faculty of specific
education in Aswan.
